Bio

Pati Rojas is a vocal powerhouse and multi-instrumentalist, blending her Latin American immigrant roots, Tex-Mex experience, and a lifetime of diverse musical influences into a sound that's as rich and multifaceted as her journey. Born in New York, raised in Texas, and now calling Portland home, Pati’s music weaves together country, blues, folk, Tejano and rock influences to create an Americana sound that is her own. From opening for Tejano icon Selena y Los Dinos in her youth to leading bands of her own, she’s earned her place as a cornerstone of the Pacific Northwest’s vibrant music scene. With a voice that cuts through the noise, and a violin, guitar or mandolin in hand, Pati’s music tells the stories of her life— perseverance, love, grief and the undeniable pull of her Texas roots.

The Beginning

In1992 as part of an all female vocal trio, Pati had the honor of opening for the legendary Tex-Mex icon, Selena Y Los Dinos in Dallas, Texas. This early experience set the stage for her evolving musical journey. In 1995, she moved to Guam where she fronted and recorded with rock band Cosmic Blue and performed as a solo artist.

Portland, Oregon

Pati relocated to Portland in the early 2000s, where she immersed herself in the city's rich Americana scene. She co-founded Rustica in 2002 with Alan Bowen, Paul Prato, and Christian McKee, and the band’s roots-rock sound led to the release of a full-length album in 2005. In 2006, Rojas and Bowen launched a new iteration of the band, Tin Silver, which embraced Americana, bluegrass, and folk influences. Tin Silver’s sound became known for its fiddle-centric folk, country soul, and hill stomp blues. The band released an EP in 2006 and a full-length album, Continuum, in 2015. Pati’s violin and soulful vocals were integral to both bands, while contributing with rhythm guitar and songwriting.

Since 2010, Pati has collaborated with notable musicians in Portland’s vibrant music scene, including local blues legend Lloyd Allen, bringing violin to local hip hop artist Libretto’s performance opening for Nas at the Roseland Theater in 2008, and providing studio work for a variety of local artists.

Solo EP Winter 2026

Today, as a solo artist, Pati Rojas blends all of her experiences into her upcoming self titled EP. The record is deeply personal, inspired by her father’s immigrant journey and the impact he had on her life. Lonestar Love is a love song to her home state of Texas while Empty Spaces offers an intimate reflection on grief and loss after the loss of her father in 2023. The album features local talent such as The Delines’ Cory Gray on keys and Freddie Trujillo on bass, Michael Yates, Jon Neufeld and Alan Kaufman on guitar, Oregon Hall of Famer Hank Rasco on keys, Scott Jeffries on backing vocals and pedal steel and and Alicia Lewis on backing vocals.

The album showcases Pati’s honest storytelling that captures the soulfulness of the human experience. The EP is set to release on February 7, 2026 at The Showdown Saloon in Portland, OR.
